How to improve the stability of inductor coil
Stability refers to the degree to which inductance coil parameters change with environmental conditions.
The inductance temperature coefficient Al is usually used to evaluate the stability of the coil. It represents the stability of the inductance relative to the temperature, and can be calculated by the following formula:
In the formula, Al -- the inductance temperature coefficient L1-- the inductance measured at room temperature T1 -- the inductance measured at positive and negative limiting temperature T2.
So how to effectively improve the stability of the inductor coil?
The first is to do a good job of inductance coil temperature coefficient.
The inductance temperature coefficient is mainly caused by the coil wire expansion after being heated, which causes the coil geometric deformation.
In order to improve the stability of the coil temperature, the coil can be made by thermal winding method: the wire of the winding coil is connected with the current, and then the coil is wound after the wire becomes hot. In this way, the coil can shrink and cling to the skeleton after cooling, and it is no longer easy to deform after being heated, and the stability can be improved accordingly.
In addition to temperature, humidity can also cause changes in inductance coil parameters.
For example, the increase of humidity will increase the distributed capacitance and loss of the coil, which will reduce the stability of the coil.
In order to prevent the influence of humidity on the parameters of the coil, the inductor coil is usually made with moisture-proof measures, such as epoxy resin packaging or impregnation treatment.
